September brings late summer sunshine and crashing waves to the Atlantic coastline of Cornwall . The beaches are full of surfers, sun seekers and treasure hunters all in search of their perfect day.

Whether its a perfect wave , a sheltered place on the beach or that haul of seaglass and seashells ,we all have our own special place in Cornwall.
As the crashing waves on Cornwall’s beaches create that perfect ride for the surfers they also release treasures onto the shoreline from our sea .
The natural recycling of the sea on our waste glass , whether it is from this season ‘s bottles or from many decades ago it can wash up on the shoreline especially after a storm.

Along with some beautiful delicate seashells great for casting this seaglass is typical of the treasures found on the cornish coastline.
The blue being the rarest and possibly old perfume bottles dating back to the last century lie alongside the green’s typical of the more recent wine bottles.

The aqua foam , mint and cream seaglass is maybe less rare , however very pretty and especially when it catches the light appears sometimes even pearlescent .
My lovely collection of cornish seaglass now requires that special silver setting made specifically for its natural shape. Handmade in recycled 999 fine silver to enhance its beauty.
