As Cornwall still holds onto the last days of summertime , the days getting shorter and the sunsets appear more dramatic, we can enjoy a moment of calm gazing at the sea.
The colours that are captured in the Atlantic Ocean are reflecting the shades in the skies and the rugged waves simulating the turbulence echoed in the clouds.

Along the shoreline delicate seashells can be found nestled within the pebbles and scattered in the sand. Every one unique in its own detail , ridged and pitted with age or sometimes even worn smooth by the waves over time.
Still its beauty with such detail brings a calmness to our wellbeing and even when find it in our pocket at a later time , a smile and connection with the sea.
I love to be able to capture this moment of calm with thoughts of wellbeing by crafting a copy of these seashells to be able to wear every day. Bringing with it maybe a way of keeping the coast with you at any time.

To create a silver shell , I take a mould off the original seashell and then handcraft a duplicate in recycled fine silver (999) .
This means every unique detail is captured in the casting of the silver shell including marks and inperfections.
Perfect to wear when you need that memory of the beach, and remind you of those days walking along the shoreline.

These Cornish cockle silver seashells are a stunning example of how unique our seashells are along the UK coastline and how each beach has its own signature shell.
At some beaches the limpet is a favourite , with or without its characteristic keyhole it clings to the rocks or is found with the pebbles and rock pools.
Cast in silver again its a pretty little shell with its wrinkles and veins being more visible in the silver than sometimes its original .

Whichever seashell is your favourite, it can hold that extra special moment to transport you back to a beach , shoreline or place in time to bring you calmness of the sea to wherever you are.
