Description
Cornish silver mussel shell with seaglass barnacle
A unique mussel shell Handcast in recycled silver from my own beachcombed collection of seashells.
My favourite surfing beach `’Constantine bay” on the Atlantic coast of cornwall is home to many mussel shells clinging to the rocks so this shell was collected from the shoreline along with the seaglass from the next beach along “Booby’s bay” which has the remains of a shipwreck along its coastline
Set within the solid silver mussel shell’s surface is a handmade barnacle of deep turquoise seaglass collected perfect in size to replicate the natural barnacle on the original shell ,
Measuring 30mm in length ( including ring ) by 12mm wide dangling on a sterling silver trace chain .
