The ocean appears like liquid silver when the sunshine hits its moving surface.
I love being able to use tools within the silversmithing techniques to capture the texture and reflection within the silver’s surface to make it sparkle and bring it alive.
Why Hallmark?
My own Hallmark is registered with the Sheffield Assay Office and is my customers guarantee of the authenticity of my silver jewellery.
All items being sold as gold, silver, platinum or palladium in the UK must be hallmarked to confirm that they meet the legal standard.
ASSAYING is to determine whether the precious metal content of the alloy meets the required standard.
The only items which are exempt are those which are under the legal weight threshold:
- 0.5 grams for Platinum
- 1 gram for Gold
- 1 gram for Palladium
- 7.78 grams for Silver
Eco-recycled sterling silver
I use eco-recycled sterling silver (925) and fine silver (999) within my designs wherever possible
I also recycle my own silver within my seashell and jewellery designs
